Just spotted oozing pockets on 2 plum trees. Read up and seems they are borers. I used beneficial nematodes last fall and plan to get more soon. I looked up Youtube for borers and seems I need to pierce the ooze to kill the larvae and maybe inject Sevin into the hole. Is this workable? I looked up getting a syringe and blunt needle on Amazon. Do I use the concentrate or dilute it? More bugs - drat it.
Plum borers
Around here, oozing pockets are often bacterial gummosis (Pseudomonas infection).
