About four years ago, a friend gave me a small potted Mickey Mouse Plant. She lives about five miles inland from me, and grows them beautifully in pots on her patio. I have since repotted it into a larger pot, keep the plant on my brick patio in mostly full sun, water thrice weekly. It always looks straggly and does not grow well, but does have a few small blooms periodically. Should I try transplanting directly into the ground? Keep transferring to larger pots, but place in different area for less sun?
I live in La Jolla, CA 92017 with ocean air and seasonal overcast.
