A few images of small visitors to my patio feeder.
Three little females grudgingly share this feeder with one poor little black chinned male trying to sneak in between them when no one is standing guard. As is typical, there is only one dominate female with the other two changing places in the hierarchy (being #2 or #3) as the hours go by. Unfortunately, I've not seen my resident ruby-throat male(s) since late spring although I'm still holding out hope for later in the summer.
All pics with a Canon 7D, 100-400mm lens, various apertures, natural light, distance to feeder: approx. 13' away from feeder which is about the minimum focus distance for this lens.
Patio Hummers
Lovely shots of gorgeous little birds.
The 100-400 is a fabulous lens. I've wanted to get one for years.
