Need help identifying plant/flower

Chicago, IL

I've been seeing a lot of this type of plant in pots around Chicago. It has a woody stem with alternating flowers on each side. Anybody know what these are???

Do you know if this is an annual or perennial in your garden? If annual, it looks like it could be a clarkia.

The flowers on clarkia look a bit different from what I can tell. Thanks for your input!

You are seeing it in pots? It looks like a fruit tree bloom. Maybe cherry or apple. Mixed with pussy willow stems.

looks as though you may have some prunus mume branches among other things as Kell has mentioned

Sorry more likely an ornamental peach perhaps
