Aurora, CO(Zone 4a)

This fellow patiently watched as my spouse refilled the bird feeders. He remained for well over an hour afterward. I'm thinking this is a Coopers Hawk?

Here are more photos. Hey Resin and Old Ned, and all you guys who know everything? I see that his tail is somewhat chewed up, but these should help. Thank you so much.

Bump

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Always a tricky one, but the legs and toes look slender to me, so I'd go for Sharp-shin.

Resin

Agree with Resin

Mequon, WI

definitely sharp shinned for the highly squared tail

Thanks to all. Had given up on getting any more info and haven't checked back until now. At least I finally know. I've got a thing about knowing what I'm observing, mostly because friends complain when I'm not specific about what I'm posting.
