I have a white Chinese wisteria growing on my chain-link fence across a narrow street from a really bright street light. The plant has been here for six years and grows vigorously, but no sign of blossoms ever.
I just read an article about the impact of street lights on the ability of native plants -- especially the milkweeds -- to set seed and it prompts me to toss out this question:
Could the increased day length all year be negatively impacting the ability of the wisteria to set buds? (I know they sometimes have to be 10 years old to bloom, but this one is a little more than that.)
