From N.Y. it was 70% total. I snapped a quick shot of it at 70%:
I was on the far southern edge of totality. It lasted about a minute and a half. Incredible! First cicadas chirping, then bull frogs down at the pond and a firefly. As the light returned, neighbors' roosters began to crow. Friends and family joined us for the event and an al fresco dinner in the garden.
In the path of totality here. This as taken at 12:20 in the afternoon. Awesome experience.
Ok The eclipse is over can we stop seeing the daily notice???
