white flowers, red berries in Berkeley, CA

Berkeley, CA

This tree is maybe 15' high. The tiny white blossoms grew in sprays, became teardrop-shaped berries. These turned brown, then red. Do you recognize it?

The pictures are very hard to see properly. Reminds me of a Portuguese Laurel

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Prunus lusitanica

What on earth have you done to the photos??? Something very strange gone wrong with them.

It looks like the camera was inadvertently set on some artistic mode.

Sorry about the strangeness of the photos. Sent to me by my sister, who can't keep her hands off Photoshop. I'm glad you were able to recognize Prunus lusitanica--I'm sure that is it.
