I have a group of single herbaceous peonies that always bloom well. This year none of these peonies produced a bud. Any Ideas?
Did anyone experience a lack of bloom on some peonies? that in prior years bloomed well?
I experienced the same problem with many of my peonies. I had Botrytis blight on some of them which I attribute to the wet Spring. That might be the cause of the less than stellar blooming season.
Mine were fresh young peonies, I think the spring drought didn't help them out, they went brown by July or August. I've never seen a bloom. Hoping for next year. They spent their first year here in pots.At least in ground now
