Snowball Viburnum leaves black and shriveled

I planted a Snowball Viburnam last spring. It hasn't done well, and it has curled, blackened, shriveled leaves this spring. It bloomed nicely, but the new leaves, especially lower on the canes, look burnt. Any help appreciated!
