So, in a burst of spring fever, I went to Ocean State Job Lots in search of lightweight pots for my "deck-egetables" garden in southern Vermont.
Got a very tall (30 / 35-ish inch?) slender container. Now I'm trying to think of best use for it and coming up short. I try to grow my veggies on deck, but also lots of herbs and a few flowers.
Any suggestions on how best to use this pot?

Summer squash vine, dill, lemon grass
you could use it for potatoes provided there is good drainage in the bottom. A little soil, potato seed starts, then cover with straw, a little bit of soil, once the leaves grow up then layers some more straw and soil, allow to grow again and keep layers after each new growth spurt. Good luck.
