Hi,
I looked in a few books and cannot identify this one. Perhaps it is winter plumage. There appears to be some brown on the back feathers based on certain angles and if the wind lifted them slightly. I think he was eating sea worms or sand eels. Seemed to be alone, not with another.

Great, thanks. Not sure I have seen one of those until now. Usually in our harbor it is loons, mergansers and eiders(and gulls, lots of gulls). May have seen a lesser scaup once also. Thanks again.
