Garden snake in Delaware.
Garter?
Snake ID please
Garter snakes have that pale yellowish stripe running down their backs...
I have good luck usually with the Maryland DNR herp page (although it did once cause me to think I had a rare tree frog overwintering in my morning room).

I'm thinking Northern Brownsnake... pretty much looks like a garter snake but without that stripe. What do you think?

Brown snake looks right. Thanks for the link to that site it looks like a terrific resource. Thanks.
Hope things are going well in DE!
