CLOSED: Bird in Oregon

Aurora, CO(Zone 4a)

Visiting the area near Coo's Bay, hoping to see new species, and saw what looks like a male house finch, or perhaps a Cassin's or Purple finch? The beak looks odd, with a reddish color at the tip. Any help is appreciated.

I would say NOT Cassin's. I would also guess it has been eating fruit, hence color on tip of beak.

Eating fruit is a wonderful guess. There are many fruit trees on this farm. This could simply be a male house finch, but wishful thinking told me that I might see something new and different in Oregon. Thanks for the help!

Yep, House Finch, the female with a lump of dried fruit stuck to its bill
