they are still green but leaning. they bloomed about 2 months ago. I;m a little surprised they're still green. can I cut them, can't stand the sad, messy look. tks

If the stalks still have all their green leaves on them, you can cut them back by up to 2/3. The remaining 1/3 of stalk and leaves is enough to feed the bulb for next season. But if they only have leaves left at the top, it's best to leave them completely alone until they turn brown.
