CLOSED: Eurasian or Mourning Dove

Aurora, CO(Zone 4a)

I got all excited this morning when I spied this seemingly unusual bird. I couldn't spot a collar, and he certainly didn't have any Mourning Dove speckles. Could this be a juvie Eurasian in the midst of a molt? Or is it a unique discovery?

This post is marked closed, but it doesn't say what you decided.
I would say not Mourning Dove - either Eurasian Collared, or Eurasian Hybrid. I would say it considers itself Eurasian since that is who it is flocking with.

Yep, Collared Dove, but a leucistic individual.

Thanks! I'd decided it might be such a glaringly ignorant question, that it wouldn't arouse interest if it hadn't yet. He seemed entirely too large to be a Mourning Dove as well.
