This little guy hangs around the pool swooping back and forth catching bugs. I will add that my pool is used more by toads, mallards, and bugs.
CLOSED: Some type of flycatcher?
Eastern Pheobe?
I saw a bird yesterday that I ended up IDing as an Eastern Phoebe. The field mark that I found distinctive was the white or light-colored band across the tip of the tail. We can't see it in your photo, but perhaps you noticed it?
Yes, this is an Eastern Phoebe. Watch the tail, they tend to bob them a lot. It has a flat, round head and a short bill.
Your bird, pollengarden, was likely an Eastern Kingbird. They have the white band on the tip of the tail and summer in a portion of Colorado.
