Fig toxicity in compost

Hi all,

I am trying to create several lasagne beds and want to recycle all the overgrown parts of the garden at the same time. The most overgrown is a large (12' high, 30' wide) fig tree. Fig sap is corrosive and toxic to humans, I am wondering if shredded fig cuttings would have similar effect on compost.

All contributions much appreciated.
