the co-op forum gave me an idea.

How many of you would be interested in buying some aquatic plants (primarily, lilies I would think) in a co-op? I talked with one supplier I used last year who stated that she would offer a discount on a group purchase. I think we can trade with each other for most of the plants we want, but I wonder about lilies and maybe lotus. I want to try some of the newer varieties and they are hard to find in a trade.
Let me know and if we get enough interest I'll try and find some volume discounts.

I went to the site I mentioned above http://www.koiponds.net/index.html
and they have actually added prices for bulk purchases.
Check it out. If you of a cheaper place let me know that to.

Prices aren't too bad! I know I've been to another site that sells in bulk, but will have to do some research to find it. I have about 20 sites stored in "Favorites" (obsessed, you say?)

Will do some checking, and post here if I find anything!

Terry, Put me down for being interested in a group lily (or lotus) purchase! Thanks! Kathy

39 views and only two replies. It doesn't look promising.

I asked Sandy at Springtime Nursery how we could work out the shipping ( I want the plants to go direct to the end user and not have to be re-mailed, if you will). I also asked if we could mix and match plants. Below is the response from Sandy. I think she will accommodate us on anything we want to do.

I am going to start a post on the co-op page. Please enter information about what plants you want to order along with the state you live in. I'll post my e-mail address to gather the actual shipping address at a later date.

Sandy's message:
Hello Terry,
We will work something out with you, we need to know how many orders there
will be from your forum and what plants, and where they will be shipped. We
will be happy to try and accomadate
a group purchase and make it as fair as possible to both your and to
ourselves. So get your information gathered and let us know what we can do.
Thanks very much for your business!!! I am sending you a catalog today.

Is there a web site where we can look at an online catalog to see what they have available?

Tree_Climber, Sorry it was in the second message. Here it is again.

We are up to about 80 plants.

I recieved a new catalog from Sandy last night and the Lotus are selling out fast. If anyone wants a lotus, you may not want to wait on the coop buy.

Terry,
When do you think we will be putting in a Coop order? I am leaning tword taking my chances and waiting, but not sure.

Crofton, MD(Zone 7a)

I'm going to call in the order for a final price check next Friday, March 30. I'm hoping we can add a few more plants to the list by then.
