Just looking for opinions. We don't have a million dollars, hubby retired about a year ago (age 62 with health problems) and I'm planning on working another 5-6 years until I'm 65 or so. We live in Minnesota which has to be just about the most retiree unfriendly state when it comes to taxes (and winter weather). In your opinion, where is the best place to live to get the most "bang for the buck"? Nice weather, low taxes/cost of living and amazing nature-birds, plants-probably no alligators or giant spiders to carry my dog away, though:) We have a nice place up here to come during the summer months, so desert heat isn't a problem.
Thanks!
