Blue Bird

Aurora, CO(Zone 4a)

He's blue, and very, very fast, like a Jay of some sort. I'm baffled, and hope somebody in Dave Land can help me. Spouse says he's been hanging out a lot in our back yard.

Yep; Western Scrub Jay, or – in Colorado – soon-to-be Woodhouse's Scrub Jay. WSJ is about to be split (has already been, by some authorities like IOC) into California SJ (coastal) and Woodhouse's SJ (interior). The split is already implemented on BirdFiles as this follows IOC ;-)
