Plant about to die?

San Francisco, CA

The leaves of my plant are very wrinkly. I try not to water the plant too much because it's supposed to be dry but I'm not sure what is the issue.

Thanks

If the leaves are getting limp, then there is a lack of water. If they feel turgid, then that's not the problem.

It looks like your plant is in a kitchen, possibly not getting enough sunlight.

As I see in this picture if the leaves are getting wrinkly, then there is a lack of hydration is probably main cause. Either the plant is not being watered enough, or the roots are rotted and sunlight is also needed.
Proper sunlight is also required for good growth of plant you planted.

It also seems to be in a teensy weensy pot. I would plant it in a bigger pot.
