Garden waste removal in Melbourne area..?

Melbourne, Australia

Hello all,

I would just like to ask you for an advice. I love gardening and most of the jobs in my garden I do myself. However, when it comes to green waste I'm not an expert.

I know that I can buy a chipper and produce my own mulch but I don't think it would be cost effective. I made a research and the chippers I like are a little bit too expensive for my pocket.

So what do you do with your green waste?

What I've tried till know:

- deal with it myself - I don't have a proper vehicle and at the local tip they want me to pay a fee even when disposing of a not that big amount of rubbish
- one of the local gardeners offers such a service but only if he does it along with a gardening job. So I have to pay for something I can do alone just to have my junk removed
- found local rubbish removalist who seems to do garden waste removal. I asked for a quote and the offer seems fair but I'm still not convinced …

Have you used these guys yourself and if so, what do you think of them? I'll be happy to receive any advice on the matter. Thank you in advance.
