A flycatcher?

Pittsburgh, PA

Hi, this is a photo I took on October 4 in Pittsburgh PA. Do you have any ideas what it could be?

Thanks,
Cui

Sorry, not with that photo! Nothing larger?

This late in the season, probability would favour Eastern Phoebe though, as that migrates later than other flycatchers.

From the information on eBird, empids are not very likely. But people on whatbird say Eastern Phoebes wouldn't have such bold, white wingbars.

So how about Eastern Wood-Pewee? Will it most likely to be an Eastern Wood-Pewee?

Also, that bird perched at the top of a tree. That's the reason why we saw it though it was very far from us.

Will that behavior confirm Eastern Wood-Pewee?

Thanks,
Cui
