First I noticed this in some of my lobelias that i am growing from seed. And now my ludisia plant. Yesterday it was ok. Today it was flopping and when U went to see it just came apart. It has rotted at the base of every stem. Looks like a fungus with hairy white stuff and gooey yellow stuff. Does anyone know what this is and how to deal with it?
Please help!
I don't know specifically, but agree some kind of fungus. SO generally, best is discard all parts and soil affected, root some stems in fresh soil, and watch out for poor drainage or overwatering that would encourage fungus.
thank you. Ive noticed that the unaffected parts are still in good health, it doesnt seem to be spreading up thru the stem.. I will cut them out and replant and see.. Thank You,
