Need identification of two hibiscus

Eustis, FL

Both of these were grown from seeds from ebay. I've seen neither of these before and would like to know what they are. One note here; they are rapid growers. Both of these plants are less than a year old. The larger of the two with the marijuana shaped leaves is actually a deep magenta. Neither of the plants blooms last the entire day and close early PM.

Thanks

The first photo looks like Hibiscus sabdariffa (Roselle) and the second photo looks like Hibiscus cannabinus.

Thanks for the help.

You're welcome, let me know if you'd like to trade seeds from your pink H. cannabinus for an H. cannabinus 'Amethyst'...

I have found these hibiscus may be great in more northern zones are nearly invasive here in zone 9b. They grow quickly too tall and then flop over creating an unkempt appearance. Consequently out came the herbicide and its bye bye! I only hope my Jamaican rozelles don't do the same thing as I am really looking forward to some of that "red tea".
