What do you think of this idea?

I am always trying to think outside the box regarding activities regarding our garden club and community. I have been toying around with the idea of having a candlelight garden evening. One garden, lit up with candles, hors d'ourves, soft music, etc. Do you think this is something interesting? How much would you charge? Do you have ideas, suggestions, reservations? Let's brainstorm about this!

I think it would be magical! I'd go in a heartbeat.
The trick would be to make sure the weather is good - would an alternate date in case of rain work? Is there a particular month where there is less likelihood of rain?
I don't know how much to charge. Make it enough to cover everybody's hard work and the costs incurred!
Or, you could combine it with a fundraiser - local food bank?

Sounds like a wonderful idea. I agree that an alternate date would be prudent. Botanical gardens don't usually charge too much for admission, maybe around $10-$12. But since many people are on a budget, even that would probably result in some not being able to attend. I suppose it depends on the affluence of the area,
