And greetings in return VV. Looks like the Valley is a good place to be! And might you know if that is Common Milkweed those fat cats are munching?

I absolutely might know that. Asclepias syriaca grows all over the Valley, and I'm glad of it.

There is at least one other species prowling the property. I haven't tried to positively identify it but I think it is Asclepias viridiflora.

That's a great Asclepias array.

And it makes me think mine is an Asclepias viridis.

the purpurescens is gorgeous. I think I have a single stem of it. Can't wait for that to grow!
The viridis is very interesting too.
And that comparison picture is really cool.

Coleup, your photo of that Monarch is really cool; I like the lighting effect.

I have new A. purpurescens plants as well, and look forward to seeing blooms next year. One plant had a nice bud this year, but I made the mistake of leaving it in a pot out front overnight and deer ate it : - (

I like those A. viridis flowers.

Happy belated birthday, coleup! I'm loving the pictures on this post.

I love the array! I also have A. purpurescens that I started from seed. I hope they make the winter.
