2015 October Birthday card swap

The DG birthday card club is a way to ensure a special day.

We welcome new members to the birthday thread. Our delightful obligation is to send a card to each birthday club member when his/her birthday occurs.

It's best to receive a pile of cards on or before your birthday so we do our best to send each card in a timely manner. This makes the card more meaningful to the recipient and to the sender. We don't have to send expensive or elaborate cards. We can make one or pick up one at nearly any store these days, or buy a whole box of cards at once and be prepared for the whole year!

It's a wonderful experience to receive cards in the mail.

Kathy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you've had a special day :) I, too, have your card to get in the mail tomorrow.
I'm happy to report that my guide dog began guiding again this past Tuesday, his 11th birthday! He's quite happy to be able to guide again. And he's back to walking quickly, too! I've had to apologize to him for slowing him down as I'm not quite in shape for walking as fast as he wants to go. He just smiles and says not to worry. He'll have me back in shape in no time! :)
Now that he has recovered from cancer, we're looking forward to getting back to our normal routines!

Kathy, we mailed your card this evening. It's signed by me and my guide dog :)
I haven't gotten out to water my garden much lately, but I wandered out there this evening. I was delighted to discover so many things growing well! There are definitely plants that are either spent for the season or need neatening up, but my plants that like the cooler fall weather are growing quite nicely. I'm hoping to get out there to water everything again soon! And to get some seeds planted for spring flowers.

Thanks to both of you for the birthday wishes! My birthday was a busy day, but even so, I still got to celebrate. Some friends wished me happy birthday that morning and gave me a nice card, and that evening, my husband and I went out for dinner. We had leftovers, so we enjoyed them for lunch today!
Kathy, thanks for the lovely card. The picture on the card is of a water pitcher filled with flowers of all colors. That sounds so lovely!
