Meals in a Jar

Here a couple meals in a jar recipe. Please add meals in a jar recipes to the post.

Hamburger Pasta (layer in quart jar as listed) This one you can change the freeze dried meat to sausage or use beef and sausage.

2/3 Cup of Tomato Powder
1/3 cup dried onion
1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
1/2 Teaspoon granulated garlic
1 Cup Freeze Dried Ground Beef
1/3 Cup dried mushrooms
After adding the above ingredients finish filling the jar with pasta. Place in oxygen absorber and put on the lid or use vacuum sealer.
To cook add all of the ingredients in a pan. Add 6 cups of waters and stir. Place in the oven at 350 and cook for 40 minutes.



Chili Mix

2/3 cup tomato powder
1/2 cup dried chopped tomatoes
1/3 cup dried chopped bell pepper
2 cup freeze dried beef
1 cups quick cook beans (red or kidney)


Season packet (place the season ingredient in a small ziplock or vacuum bag with oxygen absorber) Place last in jar

3 tablespoon chili powder
2 tablespoon dried minced onions
1 tablespoon dried minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Place ingredients in 1 quart jar in order listed. Place in oxygen absorber and put on the lid or use vacuum sealer.

Place all of the ingredients in a pot. Add 6 cups of water and mix. Simmer for 30 to 40 mins.
