are echinaceas fragrant?

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

I got one today that was tagged as pallida but I don't think it's pallida. However, the seller told me it was frag and I smelled and it was. Kinda like flowery baby powder, if that makes sense. Is there a particular echie(older cultivar) that is noted for its frag? Also foliage is large, it would be the largest foliage in my echie patch. The plant is ratty but I got it for $2. I'll post a pic momentarily. I think I have a special plant but don't know which

Yes Vossner, some are fragrant. Lucky you, that's a good little find. I love fragrance and am always on the look out for fragrant varieties.

Robin, none of my other echies have such large foliage. do any of yours? I found it unusual.

My Echinacea's don't have leaves that big, mine are purpurea and leaves are half the size of yours.

I think this is some kind of purpurea. This person carries unusual stuff and this one won't be an exception. More later
