Hardy Mammoth Mum doing its thing

(Zone 4b)

This particular mum is the result of a small division of another mature chrysanthemum this past May. From about 6" by 6" to now 4 feet by 2 feet in one season! A few times this summer I trimmed it back to keep it a more manageable size!

And very nicely trimmed, I must say. Looks great Rouge.

Thanks Mipii. (I only trimmed off height so that it would be less likely to flop).

I checked today and it might be now at it most "floriferous".

(If I had room I would plant so many more chrysanthemums)

Thanks for the updated picture, it's even better now. Actually, it looks like a lot of work, it's a perfect mound too.

Gorgeous! I'm particularly fond of the daisy bloom form types, they often seem to perform better in the garden for me. Unfortunately I don't see them offered locally often. Do you know the cultivar?
