I bought this dwarf chenille and angel wing begonia from a neighbor who is moving out of the country and couldn't take her plants with her. She had them outside. I decided to go ahead and bring them in. She warned me that they might go into shock but the chenille is doing awful! She said it needed to be repotted. Could this be why watering only temporarily perks it up? Could I separate the root ball to start with a smaller plant? I'm at a loss!
Help!
You're right about the chenille not being happy. According to DG files, you can divide the root ball. I'd water first and then divide. It probably needs some fresh potting soil with maybe a time-released fertilizer. Water after repotting. I'd keep it out of full sun for a couple of days until it gets re-situated.
