I have over a 100 amaryllis and most have bloomed in past years. This year not many bloomed and I thought they were just too crowded or under fertilized. When I dug them up to move them, the liked as though they'd been eaten. Many of the layers of the bulb were showing like an onion. The soil around them was undisturbed so it wasn't squirrels or other animals. Any ideas?
Eaten amaryllis bulbs?
So, something small enough not to have to move soil. Sounds like a small pest, rather than the larger ones I suggested in your other post.
Best not to start 2 or more posts about the same thing. Perhaps a moderator will combine these?
Thanks. I wanted the picture to show so people could see it when they scrolled through the forum instead of having to open it.
