We were recently on vacation and I noticed this large stand of hydrangea. The plot needs some tending but the hydrangea are lovely.
Completely surrounded by asphalt it gets no supplemental water.

Could water pipes be covered by the asphalt? It must rain a lot there to support it. It seems to be a paniculata and some of the blooms are starting to turn a shade of pink.
