What is boring into my new forsythia and killing the plants on the Delmarva Penninsula. And how do I stop it? Only one is hangin on. Have lost 3 others already.
Forsythia Dying

Here is some info about a group of borers that are known to attack a wide range of hosts, and I am pretty sure they are in your area.
If you can actually find the little beastie, then ID it, you can time the sprays specifically to that life cycle.
Thanks for the info.
I didn't think anything could kill a forsythia. I have tried to kill my forsythia for the last 25 years. It tends to be invasive for me.
I didn't think so either, sow I was doubly surprised. I even left the complete dead ones in the ground moving them away hoping they will come back next spring? Will let you know, undoes to look hopeful.
