When To Prune Azaleas in 9b

Is it too late to prune Azaleas in Zone 9b? I have some very old ones that should be cut back drastically. Is it too late for Spring 2016 blooms?

Sorry but, yes, it is too late. They begin to develop invisible flower buds in July (later in northern climates). Make a note to prune by the end of June using an electronic calendar like Outlook or use a wall calendar (put a note in Dec 2014's to remind yourself to prune no later than June 30, 2016; then put the note when you buy next year's calendar)
