Mittsy's Marigolds

Cocoa Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

Some are beginning to get some size to them and still retain their multi petal and mixture of color on each bloom. I'm still getting a lot of culls, though. If nothing else they are cheerful and fun.

Hi mittsy- Very nice. Perfect for a sizzling summer day.
Are you breeding your own marigolds? If so, you might want to talk about it with other folks who are breeding annual flowers on the hybridizers forum.

Very pretty Mittsy.
So when a cull blooms to you immediately remove it from the group you want to keep?

Just want to make sure I understand all of this:
1. save the seeds from the blooms that are the correct coloring.
2. plant those seeds in the spring.
3. when those plants start to bloom, remove the culls and let the others grow.
4. repeat from step 1
Sorry from the Show Me State Missouri, rofl.

Well you do need to help things along by pollinating the two you want to cross.
