Have you heard about a "Happy Diet"

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

Food can improve our mood in general, some foods are serotonin enhancer, the chemical in the brain that contributes to “happy” mood feeling. They are:

----Fish-oil, rich in Omega-3 fatty acids
----Healthy fat, such as coconut oil
----Flaxseed oil
----Sour cherries
----Eggs

Try to keep away from Coffee, it can in fact affect serotonin synthesis in the brain.

Instead drink Green Tea, even when it contains a bit of caffeine, but it has one other extremely important constituent: L-theanine a very potent chemical that has psychoactive properties because it is able to cross the blood-brain barrier, and has been shown to reduce stress as well as boost dopamine and the brain inhibitory transmitter GABA.
First thing in the morning, with your breakfast, steep a cup of hot, fresh, green tea.

Also have a cup of Lemon Balm tea, another mood enhancer and therapeutic natural herb sometime during the day.

Drink chamomile tea also
Depression goes hand in hand with sleep problems. It’s like you can’t get out of bed during the day but can’t fall asleep at night either. A flavonoid (a chemical naturally occurring in some plants) in chamomile is responsible for its relaxing properties, and I find that having a cup before bedtime with a bit of milk and honey does help to unwind. If you could make your own lavender sachet ( or little bag) to stach under the pillow will give an extra relaxing boost when you go to bed! Curl up and rest well.
