Cedrus Atlantica Cones

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Does anyone know how long it takes a Cedrus Atlantica to bear female cones? Mine puts out a ton of male cones but no females yet. It's about an 7" caliper at this point.

Anything from 20 to 40 or more years, depending on the suitability of the climate.

Full sun also helps of course!

It is in full sun from 9-10am on. How old would you figure a 3" caliper tree would be? That might have been the size when I got it 5 years ago.

No idea, I don't have a clue what a "3" caliper tree is.

Caliper is the diameter of the tree and it's measured about 6" from the base.

and Inches (") is an obscure concept we Americans cling to...
LOL

Oh yeah, I didn't consider that. CM...what is that anyway..? LOL

" is a symbol we use to denote "inches". So this tree is three inches in diameter, measured with calipers!
Every now and again, it becomes apparent that although we all speak English, we are from different countries, after all;)

Resin is the only participant here who, if given an inch, will take 160,934 centimetres (instead)...

Nice! I'm assuming that's a mile?
