Forever Blue bloomed yesterday! I haven't had a chance to snap a pic or check buds. I noticed a purple bud in a different bed this morning. It seems early for rebloom here. The daylilies are still in peak bloom.

Autumn Twilight is especially beautiful !

Only one iris reblooming here right now. After over 3 weeks of no rain and very hot temperatures, some in the 90's, we finally had rain here last night. That's just how things went this year. Too much rain in May and June, and then little rain in July and almost no rain in August into early September. We did water but it was just to keep things alive. I don't expect much rebloom this year until much later,if at all. Hopefully, the heat is gone and we will be getting regular rain again.
Here's Sugar Blues, a personal favorite blooming on 9/2. Two more bloom scapes are coming up right now, so I will have more flowers on Sugar Blues shortly. It was a blooming machine last fall, blooming for about 6 weeks.

Sugar Blues is a nice one !! We had about the same weather pattern here...wettest June on record....July and August VERY dry...lots of watering required !.....and, finally some good ,early September rains...over 3 inches ,so far this month. September sailor opened yesterday, late, and Sign Of Virgo is really putting on a show, today....at least ONE end of the iris bed has some color ! Smell The Roses opened a flower, as well !....almost forgot that one !
Love your September Sailor! This thread is giving me some good ideas about which iris rebloomers actually rebloom for gardeners here on Daves. Making a list.....
Thanks for sharing the beauties!
'Autumn Twilight' and 'September Sailor' are Amazing! They are on my wishlist for this coming year.i have always admired them both..'September Sailor' is supposed to smell like Root Beer...my 'Belvi Queen' did not Rebloom yet here.. maybe its too early for my zone, or maybe because it is a newer plant for me so not yet not established for a couple years.
I'm not sure if "SS" has a root beer aroma, or not....I don't 'smell" good LOL ! It has a "nice' aroma, but I can't say it reminds me of root beer. Belvi Queen, as well as most of the others I have posted, are all in a bed that was planted last year. Belvi Queen was hybridized in Belvidere, Illinois, which is only about 60 miles from where we live.........so it should be feeling "right at home'. If memory serves...it opened it's first "rebloom" flower on August 17th, and has been in constant bloom, ever since, and is still pushing up new stalks !
