Jackfruit question

mulege, Mexico

I have several newly sprouted jackfruit seeds. The climate here is subtropical. Does anyone have any suggestions on how long it may take to produce fruit?

thanks, katie

I've read many accounts of people growing Jackfruit in cooler climates successfully. The only thing is they might take a bit longer to fruit. While still small they are more susceptible to cold but are hardier when larger. People talk of getting fruit after about 5 years.

Thank you. I got the seeds from a fruit grown near Ensenada which is about 500 miles north of here so I'm hoping they will do OK.

Thanks for the answer'
