Is this some sort of blight on my tomato plant?

Stockton, CA

Lower leaves are turning yellow and dying. I think even the lower tomato is turning yellow. Can I still save it?

The white powder is diatomaceous earth.

Please describe how you are watering and fertilizing this plant.
Tomatoes can be quite demanding when they are grown in containers. They want to grow a lot bigger, but the nutrients of watering may not be right.

I would wash off the DE. It should not be applied so excessively to cover the leaf to the point of excluding the sun.
