Anybody make Christmas wreaths using fresh monkey puzzle {araucaria} branches? I need to have an idea how long the fresh greens will last.
Thanks,
Martha
Monkey Puzzle Wreaths
I had to look the plant up, do those even grow in Florida. I've never seen one. I gave up on fresh wreaths here in FL, they don't last very long with our warm Winters. I won't even get a fresh Christmas tree anymore.
Yep, they do. there is a great big one inside the entrance to Mead Botanical Garden in Winter Park. I volunteer there and they said I could take some branches to make a wreath, but I have never worked with this kind of fresh material before. I may make a dried wreath out of the dried ones that fall down, though.

Wow, I need to go over there and see that garden. I keep forgetting about it.
