Botrytis blight HELP!!!!!!! Quick....

-South Central-, IL(Zone 6a)

I have about 15-20 peonies, and they are beautiful. Several different kinds. But I really don't know much about taking care of them, other than cutting them down in the fall.

HELP!

I have identified what I think is Botrytis blight. It's spreading quickly down the line. Do any of you have a good remedy for it? It's summer, so I don't want to cut them back yet, so what to do in Zone 6 in June/July for Botrytis blight?

Thank you so much for any assistance you can give me.

Flowr lady, I do cut greenery on plants that are affected by botryris because if it spreads it can get to the whole lot! Your local garden center probably has a product for it. the usual ingredient on the ingredient list is copper. After treating the plant, you also treat the soil around it up to the spread of the peony, at least. The stuff is very effective but losing the greenery can set the plant back of course. Mildew is not quite as serious and can be treated with mild Dawn soap and bleach solution in a spray bottle, in my experience.

Thank you so very much, Rosemary. I'll go to the garden center in the morning!
