Sewage Smell from Top Load Washer

(Zone 5a)

Not sure if this is the right forum. We started noticing this within the last two weeks and first thought was it's time to have the septic pumped. We're out in the country. They came out right away and the filter was plugged. The fellow said we did the right thing, at the right time. We used rain water to fill up the tank again, something about preventing ballooning, and we flushed one of those bacteria things.

Strangely, even a week after the pumping, the washer still smells like this. And we've used it most every day since then. Thankfully, the clothes do not coming out smelling like this.

Is there anything more we need to look into trying? Because the septic has just been pumped I do not want to put down any bleach if I can help it.

Thank you for any suggestions.
