June in the Mid Atlantic

Scott County, KY(Zone 5b)

I recently traveled to New Jersey and back. The Holly Society of America holds its midyear Board of Trustees meeting every June in Millville, NJ - and as an officer in the organization I participate in this meeting.

Getting there and back is half the fun. This year, I visited Pleasant Run Nursery, Washington Crossing State Park, and Bowman Hill Wildflower Preserve. These were all interesting places to see, and sights I'd go see again.

Here's a bit o' Bowman.

I think there's more coming...I love that little 'spring house' with the water flowing out.
I love how the Meadowlands is really a giant marsh full of reeds. Nice euphemism.

You may continue...

Yeah, I love that spring house too! I checked out their website and find it interesting about their native plant sale. I might have to put that on the list of places to visit in my area.

It looks like a perfectly peaceful place to ponder plants. Thanks!

What, no hollies?
Joking aside, lovely spot.
