Seed Pod

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this is a seed pod that has formed or maybe has opened on my Hibiscus. Is it ready for the seeds to be harvested or do I need to wait?

Hi Chris, as soon as the pods start to split open the seeds are ready to harvest. Yours looks like it may started to split from what I can tell.

Thanks, that's what I thought but wanted to make sure. There were two pods I found, both were like the one in the photo. I managed to get about a dozen seeds out of them.

You're welcome : )

I found one on one of my non-hardy hibiscus. It looks just like that. Did you get yours to grow?
