BLOOMING in JUNE/2015
Susan,
Your Daylilies are beautiful
Very nice! Mine are barely beginning to bloom right now, darn it! I'm ready for some color lol..
I know my Little Business and Happy Returns are both starting to bloom, but I haven't gotten pics as it won't stop raining here!
badcat, Nice daylilies! You are right BOURBON STREET looks hungover. I have a few like that and they just need a little practice before they get it right. Oh my, you should have seen my Clear Mountain Morning, not only was it hung over it got attacked by slugs. lol. I love the red seedling and the space coast daylilies and the vampire, that is a lot of teeth for zone 6 and so early in the season. I only have two that are listed as teeth but I have some ruffled ones that get teeth when it is real hot. Zephyr's song is one but he is having a hard time getting started. The first one was but ugly and the second one got hung up, might be too early for teeth, I would love to move this one to a more sunny location just to see what it will do. It has been in part shade for 3 years, shame on me!
Thanks Susan, BOURBON STREET has been ugly all year lol, last year she was nice..idk? I was surprised the Tooth DL bloomed this early but Iv gone crazy pollinating with it lol Waiting on another one to bloom.Show me pics!!! :D
Susan, I really like that Ocean Rainbow and the Vivacious Spirit..... beautiful!
Badcat, good to "see" you on here! I have been missing your posts - glad to see you are still here. Your blooms are gorgeous as well. Bourbon Street looks like it had a rough night but I bet it is a lovely one. Love that Wreathed in Teeth as well.
I have several that aren't opening all the way - without teeth - its like they just partially open and stop. I guess the weather has been too strange - not sure. But then others are blooming like gang busters!
Chesapeake Crab Legs, Ouachita (Wash-I-tah) Beauty - I live in Ouachita County, and near the Ouachita River and my kids go to Ouachita Baptist so friend gave me this Ouachita namesake; Wandering Wings; Tuscawilla Tigress; Janie Wilson
We cross posted badcat, because I was posting on my break at work when we had an emergency - and my post just set for a while. Your seedling is gorgeous!
The others are pretty as well.
Thanks Genna and Susan! Love BREAKFAST WITH SANTA & OUTRAGEOUS!
Cant wait for Happy Holidays to bloom hehe
Beautiful!!
Very, very nice blooms everyone. Badcat love that seedling also. The grape vine is looking much more mature this year. Don I see your garden is off and sprinting. LOL! I will add a few this weekend.
We were at the National in Atlanta last week, so missed out on quite a few first blooms at home, but there are a lot out there now. We took a lot of pictures in the eight beautiful gardens last week. I'll put a few here when I get them all labeled.
Wow, great blooms! gingerjar! You are definitely SPRINTING. :)
I see I have a lot too but need to finish getting ready for work. Hopefully I can get some pics on the way out. I still have 3 files that I have not uploaded. LOL.
Whoa Gingerjar, now you're just showing off ; ) Really nice spiders!
Robin, I really love Lollypop! Mine must have rotted but I am not giving up! I planted my last two good Liliums yesterday. My best bloomer so far was "Eyeliner".
Here are a few blooms from this week, I have been busy so not many pics! Plus it has been in the hundreds for a heat index except today was 99, ah..the relieve is too great. lol.
1=BELLE COOK, I tried twice this morning to get a good photo of this one but it did not happen so I took this one after work so the back ground is dark.
2=MEMPHIS, gorgeous compared to last year. I love this one.
3=from left to right is GRANDMA'S SMILE, COMING ALIVE, MANGO NECTAR~ coming alive was a bonus from maryott's who is the hybridnizer, he has it listed as 2 branches and 20 buds, but I have 4 branches on this one. I thought about tossing it a couple of times, the flowers are few and splotchy but from a distance this is a real eye catcher because it actually looks like it is on fire, wish I could capture what I was seeing this morning, I was awe struck!
4= LONESOME HEART, a favorite! Starts out more of a white and gets more pink each year.
5=PATSY CLINE
---Before you know it, it will be Michigan's turn , Robin.
We have several of the same plants,VIrginia-Belle cook, Grandma's Smile, and Patsy Cline. It's nice to see how they look in someone else's garden-ususally not exactly the same. I'm taking some this morning to a daylily show in Richmond.
Thanks for the Lollypop compliments...she's sharable. Hmm, thoughts on that seedling...well, how about gorgeous?

Good to know and I do agree that it is interesting to see the same daylily in different zones. Patsy Cline started off a little ugly but the flowers are well formed this year and beautiful, Grandma's Smile has been here for quite a while (4 yr's) and has had great flowers from the very beginning, just not enough of them for me! lol. I just got Belle Cooke this past spring and this is one of the first two flowers. I should have put FFO on there!
Love Lollypop as well Robin!!!
Orange city is calling to me!!
Coming Alive Ginger!!!
Ill bb with pics in awhile, some are still trying to pop here lol. Thoughts on this seedling?? Darker than pic
I love the color on that seedling!

Thanks Robin, good to know! I still have a few that have not bloomed yet so I will let you know. I do not think there is any such thing as too many of these beauties. lol. Hopefully I will find a good place for these and let them naturalize. The taller ones require staking and I am not up to it so I will get more short ones and let them have their way. :)
