There's a nasty critter eating my mojito mint. It's in a raised cedar bed. I noticed a few days ago that the leaves are covered in holes, and there are lots of tiny black "nuggets" in the leaves. I'm hoping the nuggets aren't eggs or bug poo, but I can't think of anything else it might be.
So today, I found this guy on the plant. I sprayed him with a cayenne pepper/cinnamon/garlic/onion spray that sends everything else running - it didn't care. Any idea what it is, and is it responsible for the holes & poo?
Lastly, the mint is in one end of a raised bed. To prevent it from running roots everywhere, there's a hard plastic barrier beneath the soil between it and two tomatoes and a pepper plant that are both doing very well and show no insect damage. Do I need to worry about the other plants in the bed?
Thanks in advance. I appreciate any and all advice! :)
Even bugs like mojitos.
